Seven of nine student teachers visited the RCS school principals meeting on Wednesday morning, April 5, and were able to meet district principals and Central Office staff. Of the seven, six are Austin Peay students, and one attends Trevecca.
These student teachers have been teaching at district schools throughout the county since the second semester began in January, and will finish their responsibilities the end of April before graduating in May.
All of the group are Robertson County residents, and five of them graduated from Robertson County schools. Each has indicated an interest in teaching full-time for the district and several have already submitted their applications to do so.
Flanked by Director Mike Davis on the left, and Assistant Director Stephanie Mason on the right, the students, pictured from left to right, are: James Duncan, Jessica Bradley, Audrey Banks, Sarah Carroll, Charlea Weakley, Abigail Welch, and Priscilla Nevarez. Five of them will be licensed for K-6, one for PreK-3, and Duncan will be the only one of the group licensed for 7-12.
